Hello everyone,
This actually isn't a totally new story, but is actually an updated version of Memories, from before. It has a new, much better title as well as 33% changed content. I believe the flow is much better and the story ultimately makes more sense. I hope that you enjoy the story and, as always, feel free to let me know of any critiques or comments you have about the story. Thank you!

Times they are a'changin'
Hey everyone,
I know it's been a long time since my last story, I just wanted to let you know I have not forgotten this blog. I'm currently working on something quite different from my last stuff that simply doesn't belong on this blog (since it's not a short story or really prose at all). Anyway, with that and finals coming up, I'm not sure when I'll be able to get started on another short. I'll let you know. Thanks for reading!

Soul's Death
Here is my next short story, Soul's Death. Despite the name, it's actually not gruesome or anything. It's a hard science fiction story set far in the future where space travel to other solar systems is really becoming viable. It is a mystery, too, as you, along with Dr. Fredericks, are trying to figure out what happened to the ill-fated flight of the spaceship Geror. Finally, it will make you question what truly makes a person, a person. I hope you enjoy Soul's Death as much as I enjoyed writing it.
Soul's Death
EDIT 3/20/11: I just posted a heavily revised version of Soul's Death. It's still in rough draft status, as with most of my stories, but I feel it's a substantial enough edit to warrant a second look. Thank you for reading!

Memories
Hello readers,
I apologize for the long wait for my next story. Manus Deis didn't turn out quite how I wanted it to so I went another direction. Instead, I have written a story called Memories. It's quite a bit different from other things that I have written and I'm curious to hear what you have to say.
As always, PLEASE LEAVE COMMENTS! I know more people read these than comment here (since nobody has ever commented on this blog...) or anywhere else for that matter. I love hearing from you in person but in lieu of that, please comment or contact me in some way. It helps me improve as a writer when I hear from my readers what works and what doesn't. It's very important to me. Thank you.
Now without further adieu,
Memories
If you have any questions or complaints, let me know. Also, if you are new to this blog, check out my previous post to see links to all my other stories that I have posted here.
Thanks for reading!

Still Here!
Hello readers!
Sorry about the lack of any new writings in recent weeks, I fear that the holidays have made me busier than ever, ironically enough. This is actually my first time using my laptop since I came back home in mid-December. However, I want to reassure you that this blog has not been forgotten!
I am currently working on the project I mentioned in my last blog post which is coming along well. I realized that it's slightly more ambitious than I first realized so it may not be up for a while now. I will tease you though with the title, Manus Dei. That may seem like nonsense but sometimes, google translator can be your best friend =).
Another realization that I made was that, much to my delight, many more people are reading this blog than I thought would. I want to give a shout out to Tucker who linked my blog to his which has directed several people here. Thanks Tucker! For those of you who are reading this that may not have realized this, I have actually written several stories and posted them here. You can find any of them under the subheading labeled Blog Archive over on the sidebar for this blog. They should be organized by month. However, for your convenience, here are links to all of my stories I have posted so far.
Stop at Nothing
God, Please Forgive Me
Rules of War
Angarin (Prologue)
Easton
*IMPORTANT* If you are having trouble downloading or reading the stories, please click on Easton and read the instructions posted there. Read all of the instructions carefully and use the images to guide you. It can be a bit confusing but all of the links have been proven to work just fine on Windows and Mac OS X computers. If you are still having trouble, PLEASE email me, being as specific as you possibly can with your problem and I will help you. Enjoy!

Stop at Nothing
Hey all,
True to my word, I have another story for you. This one will take a little explaining so bear with me, if you will.
This is actually a story I wrote back when I was a 1st semester freshman taking my first Intro to Creative Writing class. The assignment was to write a story based on a news story. This story is written based on the death of Dimebag Darrell, the lead guitarist for Pantera and Damageplan. The story behind his death is still a bit convoluted due to the very nature of the death so I felt it was perfect for a short story. The fact's behind his death are these: Darrell was playing with the band Damageplan at a venue in Ohio when a man, Nathan Gale, shot him six times from the audience before shooting wildly at the rest of the crowd. Mixed stories about the chaos keep us from knowing the truth about what happened that night but when the smoke cleared, "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, Jeff "Mayhem" Thompson, Nathan Bray, Erin Halk and Nathan Gale himself lay dead.
Speculation about motives ranged from anger over the break-up of Pantera to stolen songs to simple insanity. Regardless of the motive, this act shocked the rock world and stole away one of the greatest guitarists of our time far before his prime. If you haven't heard this story before, just to give you an idea of how huge this was, KISS frontman, Gene Simmons donated his own specialized KISS Kasket for him to be buried in (since KISS was very important to Abbott) and Eddie Van Halen gave his own guitar to be buried with him (as Abbott had requested a copy of Eddie's guitar). THIS LINK will give you an idea of how many tribute songs were written by all types of artists about Darrell's death and Dean Guitars even created a special guitar in tribute to this fantastic guitarist.
I wrote this story from the eyes of Nathan Gale before and during the tragedy. It's not the best story ever and it's rather short (fitting the assignment directions) but I think it turned out better than I expected at the time so I figured I could share it with you all. It was my first attempt at depicting insanity and it was interesting doing it through the eyes of someone who fully believes they are perfectly sane. Anyway, enjoy! As always, I welcome comments! Oh and in case you were wondering, the title is actually just a placeholder title. Just throwing that out there.
Stop at Nothing
My next story I'm working on now is a more light-hearted story than the last few, starting to go further towards the fantastical while still being based in our world. The idea came to me in a dream (no joke...) so we'll see how that goes. I figure it'll either be awesome or really suck. If it's the latter, I won't subject you to it, don't worry hahaha. Just letting you know where I'm at right now. Peace friends!
EDIT: Sorry about the short bit of downtime. If you tried to download the story and couldn't, try again now. I accidentally put the story up in the wrong format but it should work fine now. Sorry for the confusion!

God Please Forgive Me
Hello everyone.
Sorry it has been so long since I last posted here. I've actually had this story done for about a week now but kept forgetting to post it on the blog. You may or may not have noticed that I posted on Facebook about it. Anyway, this story is pretty dark and has some pretty controversial themes unlike my last stories. I was inspired to write this because of several things in the media in the past few years as well as the ideologies of many people, especially here in Montana. I think you'll understand what I'm getting at when you read it. It's short, only 7 pages, but I think it still turned out rather well. Let me know what you think.
God, Please Forgive Me
The break between this story and my next shouldn't be as long. I have a concept in mind but I'm trying to figure out how to utilize it effectively. Maybe I'll post a chapter of Angarin up or something, I don't know. Regardless, it shouldn't be a month before my next post. Thanks for reading, everyone!
